Kevin Yatsu plays with video and world-building through a wide range of approaches and applications. Often meditative and intimate, his work is deeply informed by slow cinema and East-Asian folklore. Drawing upon his background in percussion performance, Kevin uses sound to both complicate and compliment the spaces outside of the video frame. Kevin currently resides in Portland, OR, and recently recieved an MFA from the University of Oregon.
He is also the co-founder of AUGURY.HOUSE, where he serves as lead level designer, audio engineer, and artistic director.
When he isn’t in the studio, Kevin spends his time brainstorming and writing feature and TV screenplays.
